a big day

web2.jpg

Today was a special day: we came home! Even though we had a great experience in the hospital, I think we were all ready to get back to a more familiar place. Aidan seems to be enjoying his new surroundings, and he has plenty of family members lining up to hold him! He is quite a content little guy, and he loves to be held and talked to. What an amazing experience!

It’ s been great to hear from so many of you; Becka and I both feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. Aidan is one lucky little guy! I’ve updated the photo gallery with a few more pictures, and once we get caught up on sleep, I’m sure there will be much more to come!

merry christmas: introducing Aidan Christopher Warner

Just a quick post to say our precious son has finally arrived! He made his debut late last night (apparently he wanted to wait until Christmas Eve!). More details, and of course pictures, once we catch our breath! Thanks to all of you who were praying for us; he and mom are doing great!

the waiting

The waiting truly is the hardest part of this pregnancy! I really can’t complain because I feel God has given us incredible grace, but there’s something a little disheartening about passing the due date (December 15th) and baby still hasn’t arrived. I keep reminding myself that 40 weeks is just the average and that he’ll come when he’s ready. Still, it’s hard to rid myself of images of a giant baby, too large to fit into his clothes or with a full set of teeth. Ok, that does sound ridiculous, but that’s what a little impatience does to my imagination. I’m just so excited to meet this little guy!
